Morley addressable photoelectric smoke detector
A photoelectric (optical) smoke detector senses the visible smoke from slow, smouldering fires, which makes it the most common choice for offices, corridors, rooms and stairways. The Morley-IAS HM-PSE range from Morley-IAS has a redesigned detection chamber that responds well to smoke while reducing false alarms caused by settling dust and insects.
The detector’s processing filters out short environmental “noise”, and each detector reports its own address to the addressable fire alarm panel, so the panel shows exactly where smoke was found.
HM-PSE-AP or HM-PSE-S2-I
HM-PSE-AP: the current Advanced Protocol version, for panels such as the PL-1000 and Lite.
HM-PSE-S2-I: an earlier model with a built-in loop isolator, often needed to match existing systems. Availability can vary, so we confirm it with your quote.
Base and installation
The detector plugs into the Morley B501AP mounting base, ordered separately. For kitchens, boiler rooms and dusty areas where smoke detection is not suitable, use a heat detector instead.
