HICARE Flare Defend aluminized fire entry suit
A fire entry suit is made for the rare jobs where a person must step into flames for a short time: closing a valve in a burning area, rescue, or shutting down equipment in a fire. It goes beyond a fire proximity suit, with many layers of insulation under an aluminized outer.
The HICARE Flare Defend entry suit is built with an aluminized outer shell, specially treated silica fabrics and fiberglass insulation. It comes as a set of coat, pant, hood, boots and gloves. Choose 5 layers or the heavier 7 layer suit for longer or hotter exposure.
Entry suits are heavy and need training and a buddy system. They are used with breathing apparatus by trained fire teams in refineries, petrochemical and gas plants, steel plants and airports.
