HICARE Flare Defend fireman suit
A fireman suit, also called turnout or bunker gear, is the jacket and trouser a firefighter wears for structural and industrial firefighting. It has to keep out heat, flame and water while letting body heat and sweat escape. The HICARE Flare Defend suit is built in three layers:
Outer shell: 200 GSM inherently flame resistant fabric, 93% meta aramid, 5% para aramid and 2% antistatic.
Moisture barrier: aramid non-woven laminate with a PTFE membrane, waterproof but breathable.
Thermal barrier: non-woven aramid fibre laminated with meta aramid / FR viscose.
2 inch wide fire retardant lime and silver reflective tape makes the wearer visible in smoke and at night.
