Single or double hose box: what fits inside
- Single: 24 x 24 x 10 inches. Holds one 7.5 m or 15 m hose with one nozzle.
- Double: 24 x 30 x 10 inches (H x W x D), 18 gauge mild steel. Holds two 15 m hoses and one nozzle.
Both sizes are light, weatherproof and finished in P.O. red, so the box stands out on a wall or in a dim stairwell.
Where a hose cabinet is used
Hose boxes are fixed beside internal landing valves on each floor and beside external yard hydrants around factories, warehouses and housing societies. Outdoors, the cabinet shields the hose from sun and rain. Indoors, it keeps the hose folded and ready, so nobody has to search for it during a fire.
