SafePro single outlet landing valve for wet riser and hydrant systems
A landing valve is the valve you see inside a hose box on every floor of a building with a fire hydrant system. The SafePro single outlet landing valve has one outlet, set at an angle (oblique), so a 63 mm fire hose can be connected and run out quickly. When the wheel is opened, water from the wet riser or ring main flows into the hose and on to the branch pipe.
It belongs to our hydrant valves range, part of the wider fire hydrant fittings collection from SafePro. Choose gun metal or stainless steel with the buttons above, set the quantity and send us an enquiry.
Gun metal or stainless steel landing valve?
- Gun metal (GM): a copper alloy body and the traditional material for hydrant valves. It is heavy and has the classic bronze look most fire officers know.
- Stainless steel (SS): lighter, with a bright finish that stays clean-looking. Often picked for new residential towers, malls and coastal sites.
Both do the same job. If your consultant’s drawing names a material, follow the drawing.
Why a single outlet?
One outlet means one hose line per valve. This is the common choice for corridors, staircases and floors where one hose can reach the whole area. Where two hose lines are needed from one point, see the SafePro double outlet landing valve.
Parts that work with a hydrant valve
- SafePro RRL fire hose pipe 63 mm kept folded in the hose box
- Short branch pipe with nozzle at the far end of the hose
- Fire hose reel drum next to the valve for first response
