HICARE heat resistant shoes for foundries, steel plants and furnace work: aluminized fiberglass (up to about 500°C), Aluprime aluminized aramid with chrome leather lining, and Kevlar para aramid (up to about 350°C).
HICARE heat resistant safety shoes
Normal safety shoes can scorch, crack or melt near furnaces and molten metal. Heat resistant shoes have a heat resistant upper and a nitrile rubber sole that copes with hot floors. HICARE makes three types.
Aluminized: aluminized fiberglass upper that reflects radiant heat, with a metal chain and nitrile sole, heat resistant up to about 500°C (maker’s rating).
Aluminized aramid (Aluprime): aluminized aramid upper with high quality chrome leather lining, nitrile rubber non-skid sole and zipper closure. The most comfortable for long shifts.
Kevlar (para aramid): 100% Kevlar upper with a nitrile sole for higher heat resistance, up to about 350°C, for sparks and contact heat.
