HICARE aluminized gloves reflect radiant heat away from the hands, for work near furnace mouths, molten metal and fires. Aluminized aramid in four lengths, or the economical Alumaster aluminized fiberglass glove.
HICARE aluminized heat resistant gloves
An aluminized glove has a shiny aluminium coated outer that reflects most of the radiant heat coming from a furnace, a pour or a fire. That keeps the glove, and the hand inside, much cooler than a plain fabric glove. HICARE makes two versions.
Aluminized aramid or Alumaster?

The outer fabric has a thin aluminium coating that reflects radiant heat. It works best against the heat you feel from a distance, such as a furnace or fire.
Can I hold hot objects with aluminized gloves?
They are made mainly for radiant heat. For holding hot parts, Kevlar gloves with a thick palm are better.
How do I clean aluminized gloves?
Wipe the aluminized surface with a damp cloth. Do not wash or fold them hard, as creases damage the coating.
