SafePro modular ABC fire extinguisher: automatic cover for unattended rooms
Many fires start at night or in rooms nobody visits, like a DB room, a battery room or a store. The SafePro modular ABC fire extinguisher is a round, ceiling-mounted unit filled with MAP (mono ammonium phosphate) dry powder. A modular ABC fire extinguisher has a heat-sensitive bulb in the nozzle. When the heat below it rises enough, the bulb breaks and the powder is released over the area underneath, with nobody needed to operate it.
Find it in our modular fire extinguishers and ABC fire extinguishers sections, from SafePro.
Fire classes
As an ABC powder unit, it is listed for Class A (solids like wood, paper, cable insulation), Class B (flammable liquids) and Class C (flammable gases).
Sizes and MS or SS body
- MS body (2, 5, 10, 15 kg): painted mild steel, the common choice for indoor rooms.
- SS body (2, 5, 10 kg): stainless steel for damp, coastal or clean areas where rust is a worry.
Small sizes cover a panel cabinet or a narrow corridor; larger sizes are hung over bigger stores and machine areas. The area each size covers depends on mounting height, so we confirm the layout with your quote.
Typical places
- Electrical DB rooms, panel rooms and battery rooms
- Stores, archives and godowns with no night staff
- Generator rooms, boiler rooms and fuel stores
- Paint booths and small workshops
Where powder dust would harm electronics, consider the SafePro modular clean agent fire extinguisher. Keep a hand-held SafePro ABC fire extinguisher near the door for people inside.
