Newage single outlet landing valve for internal hydrants
The Newage single outlet landing valve, also called a fire hydrant valve, is the valve a 63 mm fire hose is coupled to on each floor. It has one oblique outlet and a 75 mm flanged inlet bolted to the wet riser or hydrant main. Turn the hand wheel and water flows straight into the hose.
Landing valves are often called internal hydrants because most of them sit inside the building, though they are fitted at external hydrant points too. See our other hydrant valves and fire hydrant fittings, or the Newage brand page.
Three models
- Standard, 75 mm inlet, stainless steel: SS-304 body with a stainless spindle and P.O. red paint.
- Standard, 75 mm inlet, gun metal: the traditional gunmetal valve, supplied with a PVC blank cap and GI chain.
- NI101 oblique, flanged, gun metal: Newage’s NI101 flanged oblique hydrant valve in gunmetal.
Flange and outlet details
The 75 mm NB flange has an outside diameter of 200 mm, a 160 mm pitch circle and four 19 mm bolt holes. The outlet is a 63 mm female instantaneous coupling set at an angle, so the hose drops down and runs out without a kink. Newage also makes oblique valves in 38 mm and 63 mm sizes and with threaded inlets; ask us if your drawing calls for one.
Why one outlet?
A single outlet valve feeds one hose line. It is the usual fitting on staircase landings in housing societies, offices and hotels, where one hose run covers the floor. For points that need two lines, compare the Newage double outlet landing valve. Keep the hose nearby in a Newage fire hose box, and replace a lost cap with blank caps and chain.
