HICARE Alumaster aluminized jacket
An aluminized jacket reflects radiant heat away from the chest, back and arms. The HICARE Alumaster jacket has an aluminized outer with woollen felt and FR cotton inside, and closes at the front with a zipper or brass buttons.
Alueco or Aluprime, 2 or 3 layers
Alueco (36 inch): aluminized fiberglass outer, heat resistant up to about 500 to 700°C (maker’s rating). The economical choice for furnace and boiler work.
Aluprime (32 inch): aluminized aramid outer, rated by the maker for heat up to about 1000°C. Lighter and tougher for regular high heat work.
2 or 3 layers: the third layer adds insulation for longer or closer exposure to heat. Two layers are lighter and cooler to wear.
