Newage fire hose reel drum for first-aid firefighting
The fire hose reel drum is what trained staff reach for while a fire is still small. The Newage fire hose reel carries 30 m of 19 mm (¾ inch) hose that stays connected to the water supply, so one person can pull it out and start spraying in seconds, without waiting for the heavy 63 mm hydrant hose.

Four types to choose from
- Swing type, rubber hose: braided rubber hose on a drum that swings out from the wall (up to 180°) to face the fire.
- Swing type, thermoplastic hose: the same swinging drum with a lighter high pressure thermoplastic hose.
- Fixed type: the drum stays square to the wall; suits spots where the hose always runs out in one direction.
- Stand mounted: the reel on its own stand, for sheds and yards with no wall to fix it to.
How the reel is built
The side plates have a red powder coated finish and the waterway is seamless tube. Water enters through a threaded inlet, and the hose outlet can be turned left or right. Newage gives a maximum operating pressure of 150 PSI (10.5 kg/cm²) and a flow of about 24 LPM at 7 kg/cm². A shut-off nozzle on the hose end lets the user stop and start the water.
Where hose reels are installed
Hose reels go on every floor of offices, hotels, hospitals and malls, usually near the landing valve, and in factories near machines and stores. Keep the reel clean inside a Newage hose reel cabinet.
