Why fire safety training matters
A fire extinguisher only helps if someone near it knows how to use it. In most workplace fires the first person on the spot is an employee, not a firefighter. If that person can pick the right fire extinguishers and use it within the first minute, a small fire stays small. If not, the safest choice is to raise the alarm and get everyone out quickly, and that too needs practice.
Regular fire safety training also helps when your site is inspected. Fire NOC renewals, insurance surveys and client audits often ask whether staff have been trained and whether drills are held. Our sessions give your people the skills and give you the attendance records.
What a typical session looks like
- Short talk: how fires start at a site like yours and what the alarm means.
- Know your extinguishers: the types on your premises, what the labels mean, and how to check the pressure gauge.
- Hands-on practice: participants use an extinguisher themselves on a controlled fire, where the site allows it.
- Walk the route: exits, assembly point and the roles of fire wardens.
- Questions and certificates.
Want to test what your team has learnt? Add a fire mock drill on the same day, train your floor marshals with fire warden training, or book a fire safety audit of the site. After the training we can also quote for any fire extinguishers, safety signs or hose reels your site is missing.
