Why foam for flammable liquids

Water sinks under burning petrol, diesel or solvents and can spread the fire. Foam floats on the liquid, smothers the flames, cools the surface and seals in the vapours so the fire does not flash back.

Low, medium or high expansion

Low expansion foam through monitors and branch pipes for tanks, bunds and loading bays.
Medium expansion for spill areas and smaller rooms, using a medium expansion foam generator.
High expansion to fill large volumes such as warehouses and hangars, using a high expansion foam generator.

What is a foam flooding system?

A fixed system that discharges fire fighting foam over an area, a room or a tank to put out flammable liquid fires.

Which foam concentrate do we need?

It depends on the liquids stored. Alcohols and polar solvents need an alcohol-resistant foam. Share the list of chemicals and we will suggest the concentrate.

What is the difference between low, medium and high expansion foam?

The expansion ratio: low expansion foam is wetter and thrown further, high expansion foam is light and fills large volumes quickly.

Do you install the system?

Yes. We can supply only, or supply and install as per your BOQ.

Can you quote from our BOQ?

Yes. Send the BOQ or drawing and we reply with an itemised quote with GST.

Do you supply foam concentrate refills?

Yes, foam concentrate is supplied in drums as part of the project or as refills.
