Armorfire fire sprinkler heads
A fire sprinkler opens on its own when the glass bulb bursts in the heat of a fire, and sprays water only where the fire is. The red bulb on Armorfire sprinklers bursts at 68°C, the standard rating for offices, shops, hotels, housing and most factories. The frame is forged brass, the bulb glass and the button brass / copper.
Which type?
Pendent: hangs down from pipes above a false ceiling. The most common type in buildings.
Upright: points up from exposed pipes, for warehouses, parking and plant rooms without a ceiling.
Sidewall: fitted on a wall, throws water across the room. For corridors, hotel rooms and places where ceiling pipes are hard to run.
Quick response pendent (3 mm bulb): the thinner bulb reacts faster; maker’s K-factors 5.6 (80.6) and 8.0 (115.2).
Thread: BSP (parallel) or BSPT (tapered); match your pipe fittings. Sizes 15 mm and 20 mm. Connect pendent heads with a flexible sprinkler drop. More in sprinklers.
